The Chinese not-new-smartphone-manufacturer OnePlus has launched a new version of their recent OnePlus 3 with few tweaks inside the hardware – OnePlus 3T. The device is launched on November 15 officially on Facebook live. The smartphone will be available to buy from November 22nd onwards, at a price of $439. It’s expected to be available in India around 32000 Rupees.
Why Oneplus has launched their newer version only a few months after the OnePlus 3 was revealed. It could be that the company was not ‘settled’ with what they offered in the Oneplus 3 smartphone, even though, it was well received and I could say it’s one of the best android smartphones available at this price. Yes, Google Pixel is another thing, but it doesn’t make sense comparing the Google Pixel with a phone that costs almost half of its price.
What features are there in the OnePlus 3T?
If you ask how OnePlus 3T is different from OnePlus 3, there are no significant changes in the appearance, but there, fortunately, there are some major improvements in terms of camera and the processor.
The OnePlus 3T is packed with the latest, powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 (the same which is used in LeEco Le Pro3, Xiaomi Mi 5s, and Google Pixel). Yes, Google Pixel and the new OnePlus 3T shares the same SD 821 processor.
The device has 6 GB of RAM, with Adreno 530 CPU, which could give a smooth, flawless performance. The device hopefully can manage multitasking and gaming really well, just what we’ve seen in their previous smartphone OnePlus 3.
One major update is the front camera, which is now 16 MP with sapphire lens and image stabilization technology. This helps take sharp selfies, even in low light, with decent bokeh as the aperture is wider – f/2.0.
There is an improvement in the battery capacity of the OnePlus 3T as well. OnePlus 3 has 3000 mah battery while the 3T comes with an upgraded battery of 3400 mah, which is a pretty nice upgrade from the smartphone company.
Is OnePlus 3T Worth Buying?
However, the other areas of the OnePlus 3 have remained untouched. Here are the key specifications.
